What is war in the modern world? At the moment, wars are raging simultaneously in several parts of our planet. But do we take it seriously, or do we understand the horror of these events when the war is not in our home? What does cause wars? Selfishness? Cruelty? Mania of greatness?
The French writer Alfred Jarry in his play ”Ubi Roi” with irony and black humor describes the human defects that preceded the start of the war. That’s why while designing this book, I decided to illustrate not the horror of war , but what causes it. And this is not geopolitics or ideology, but WRATH, PRIDE, GREED, ENVY, LUST, GLUTTONY, SLOTH - seven deadly sins. Every act in the book corresponds to one of the seven deadly sins, and war is a kind of “feast” for demons who are identified with one or another sin....
